How to color the 3D printing model?

Some customers can provide what color the prototype needs, but they cannot provide the accurate color card number. At this time, we need to let the customer confirm the color of the 3D printing model.

When using 3D printing model drawings, a BOM is usually attached, which will indicate the color requirements of the prototype, such as matte or high gloss. Some customers can provide what color the prototype needs, but they cannot provide the accurate color card number. At this time, we need to let the customer confirm the color of the 3D printing model.

The most common color cards in the prototype processing industry are Pantone color cards and Raul color cards, which require customers to choose.

1. Black matte plastic hand

The Pantone color card is a universal color card for prototype models. You can find the color you like by the color number above. After you choose the color, the paint sprayer of the prototype factory knows the specific Pantone color number, and you can number it according to the color. Adjust the oil to paint the product.

Before coloring the plastic hand model, the master polisher must first polish it. When polishing, it must be smooth, clear the corners, and there should be no obvious marks on the glue bonding. The polishing must be done several times, and the primer must be sprayed once after the polishing. Grind again, after ash-filling and other processes, go through the next grinding.

2. White matte fuel injection hand model

The aluminum alloy hand plate must be polished before coloring. When polishing, the product smoothness, clear angle, etc. must be considered, especially the accuracy requirements must be paid attention to, and it cannot be polished at will. In addition, the color of aluminum alloy prototypes is generally sprayed with metallic paint.

However, some prototypes are difficult to color, such as PP, nylon, and steel. The prototype models of these materials generally do not need to be colored because they are easy to fade. These materials are suitable for hand plates with high wear resistance, mainly gears and other assembly parts, rather than appearance hand plates.
